Privacy Policy
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process personal data confidentially and in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Medical activities are additionally subject to professional medical confidentiality under Art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code.

2. Data Processed, Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data exclusively for the purposes set out below, based on your consent, the performance of a contract (treatment contract), a statutory obligation (Swiss Health Insurance Act, Medical Devices Ordinance, patient record retention) or an overriding legitimate interest (secure operation of the website).
- Server logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent, requested URL): technical operation and security; retention max. 30 days.
- Contact requests (email, phone, name, message): processing of your request; retention until completion of the matter, max. 2 years.
- Appointment and treatment data: performance of the treatment contract; patient records retained for 10 years after the last consultation in accordance with cantonal health legislation.
3. Website Hosting
This website is hosted on the Lovable platform (Lovable AB, Sweden) and delivered via the global edge network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). This may involve the disclosure of technical connection data (in particular the IP address) to the USA. Such disclosure takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or their Swiss equivalents recognised by the FDPIC.
4. Online Appointment Booking (Doctena)
For appointment bookings we use the service Doctena (Doctena Group SA, Luxembourg). The data you enter there (name, contact details, requested appointment, where applicable reason for treatment) is transmitted to Doctena for the purpose of arranging the appointment. This constitutes a disclosure within the EU (Luxembourg), which is recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection under Annex 1 of the Swiss DPO. Details at doctena.ch/datenschutz.
5. Medical Confidentiality
All staff members of the practice are bound by professional and medical confidentiality under Art. 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code. Medical data is only shared with third parties (e.g. insurers, co-treating physicians) with your explicit consent or on the basis of a statutory obligation.
6. Cookies, Tracking and Analytics Services
This website uses cookies and similar technologies for technical, analytical and marketing purposes. On your first visit you are asked for your consent via a cookie banner; non-essential services are only activated after your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
6.1 Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The Tag Manager itself does not set cookies and does not collect personal data; it only serves to centrally manage the tracking tags described below. As soon as a tag is triggered, the privacy provisions of the respective service apply. Further information: policies.google.com/privacy.
6.2 Google Analytics (GA4)
Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to statistically analyse the use of our website. This involves setting cookies and collecting data such as the IP address (anonymised), page views, session duration, device information and interactions. The data is stored on Google servers in the USA; the transfer takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) or their Swiss equivalents. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and activated IP anonymisation. Retention period: 14 months. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 31 nFADP).
6.3 Google Ads (Conversion Tracking)
Subject to your consent, we use the conversion tracking feature of Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) to measure the success of our advertisements. If you reach our website via a Google ad and perform a defined action there (e.g. contact us, book an appointment), a cookie is set to record the conversion. The data transmitted (including anonymised IP address, time and type of conversion) is transferred to Google in the USA; legal basis: EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Retention period: 90 days. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 31 nFADP).
6.4 Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram)
Subject to your consent, we use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). This tool allows us to define visitors to our website as a target group for advertisements on Facebook and Instagram and to measure the effectiveness of those ads. Information such as IP address (hashed), browser type, pages visited and – if you are logged in to Meta – your Meta account is transmitted to Meta. Transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Retention period: up to 180 days. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 31 nFADP). Note on health data: As our practice is a provider in the healthcare sector, we expressly point out that your visit to our website may allow conclusions to be drawn about your health interests. We recommend declining non-essential tracking services if you do not wish this.
7. Your Rights
You have the right at any time to information, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and to withdraw any consent you have given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern ( www.edoeb.admin.ch).
8. SSL Encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in the address bar of your browser.
9. Changes
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy in order to adapt it to changes in the legal framework or in our services. The version published on this page shall apply at all times.
